Having designed pieces for Idée for several years, Marc decided to take advantage of the company’s avid working relationship with a wicker factory in Thailand to make a wicker version of the Felt Chair. It took six weeks of daily work to weave the first chair, which ended up not meeting his expectations in terms of quality. Subsequent ones were perfected, and the steel frames were made according to a jig Marc had fashioned.

The Wicker Chair is still in production and is manufactured by Idée.
